It's time to get working on your game
If you want to play better golf in 2016, then you are going to have to put some hard work in over the winter months. Whether it's golf lessons or a driving range membership, we are here to help you improve your game. If you are looking for golf lessons, then just read a bit further down and you will see our winter coaching packages, which are a great way for you to improve your game. We also offer one off lessons, if you are just looking for a wee tweak to your swing.
One of the most popular things we have introduced in our 14 years at Noah's Ark has been our Driving Range Membership. Since its introduction a year past February, we have been overwhelmed with the number of golfers who want to join up and improve their golf. At just £19.99 per month, our range membership is fantastic value.
You would only have to hit a basket of 100 balls once per week to save 30% ! As a member, you will be entitled to hit up to 100 balls every single day of the week and this will save you some serious money!

Winter Coaching Packages
We have had a fantastic response in the first few weeks of taking bookings for this year's Winter Coaching Packages.
Our winter packages are available with Niall McGill, Andrew McHardy and Jonny Belford and consist of 5x 1 hour coaching sessions (1 lesson per month November to March).
Over the five sessions, we will really get to work on your game and work on making you a better player going into the 2016 season. To make these packages even more attractive, we offer them at a large discount over our summer season prices.
*Niall is now fully booked*

Play Better Golf - The downhill iron shot
Playing an iron from a downhill lie is a difficult shot to play, but if you adhere to the following, you should see much improved results.
Firstly select a more lofted club as the ball will fly further from the downhill lie due to a de-lofting effect on the clubface. You must aim slightly left of target as the slope will make the clubface tilt to the right and compensation must be made. Your ball should be positioned a little further back in your stance and you should lean your body with the slope so that your weight favours your front foot.
When making your backswing ensure that you keep your body central, as any sway to the right will make it very difficult for you to make a clean contact with the ball. On the downswing and follow through, you must commit to the shot and trust your alignment, making sure you complete your swing as much as possible, although your movement will be restricted.
The most common fault when playing from a downhill lie is when a player tries to help the ball into the air. When this happens the ball is generally topped or will fly well to the right of target. Trust your swing and commit to the shot!

There was some great golf played and some not so great by all accounts (not naming any names!) but we hope that everyone who took part enjoyed their game on the revamped North Inch.
