A Professional Touch
We have just received our new Gift and Lesson vouchers, which we are really pleased with. We thought that with the volume of vouchers we sell, it would be nice to have them designed to tie in with all our other Noah's Ark Golf Centre Branding.
A huge thanks go out to the team at Perth's T'Go Creative who did all the artwork and printing of the vouchers.
The vouchers really do look great and have a really professional feel about them.
Patriotic and Retro!
We've had some interesting new stock deliveries this week. Firstly we've had some cracking patriotic, Saltire putter covers and grips from Odyssey (the #1 putter on Tour). These really do look great and if you fancy giving your trusty putter a wee refresh, then this could be for you!
Secondly and just as interesting, are the Retro 1983 TaylorMade caps. I remember these the first time round, as a young 10 year old playing at King James VI. There really are some great products available this year and, we've got an ever increasing stock, as we get daily deliveries.
Track your stats and play better golf
At Noah's Ark Golf Centre, we understand just how important golf statistics are to helping you play better golf. As such we have spent the past few years developing our very own statistics system just for you and it's absolutely FREE .
By identifying your true strengths and weaknesses, you can start spending time working on the things that will really help you play better golf and stop wasting time aimlessly beating balls. LowerYourScores.com is completely FREE and you can sign up for your account by visiting the website.
Once signed up, if you visit your account page, you can select Andrew, Jonny or myself as your coach. This way we can have access to your stats and see how you are performing. We have over 150 coaches signed up to the system and all of then are selectable from the coach's drop down list.
For more information on LowerYourScores.com you can email niall@loweryourscores.com.
Andrew and Jonny have been busy boys again this week, custom fitting our clients for their new clubs. We offer a complete custom fitting service for both irons and woods and use the very latest FlightScope Radar technology, which measures everything about your ball fight and club delivery.
When you decide to invest in new golf clubs, you should not just go and buy them off the shelf and instead should ensure that you try several different models and get them professionally fitted to your game and swing style.
A 1 hour custom fitting session at Noah's Ark costs £40 and if following the fitting you buy clubs worth over £200, then you will get a 50% rebate on your fitting fee. If you spend over £300, then you will get your full fitting fee returned.
Play Better Golf - Where should I be aiming?
One of the most common questions I get asked by students is, "am I aiming at my target?" My answer is usually "no", but I very quickly add "and neither you should be!" You may well be asking why I don't want my students aiming at their target. Well, I actually have 2 or 3 reasons, but today I'll keep it to ball position.
The golf swing is a rounded movement and as such, at no point is the club head travelling in a straight line, neither on a vertical or horizontal plane. As such, the further forward you play the ball in your stance, the later in the arc it will be struck and the more to the left your swing path will be (out to in).
This left swing path is what causes the ball to slice and is one of the main reason that you slice your long clubs more than your short ones.
I believe that your aim should be more to the right with longer clubs, to help neutralise your swing path and resultant ball flight. If I aim straight at the target, then my swing path will likely be to the left of target, causing my ball to slice.
Instead try aiming more to the right with your driver and visualise drawing the ball from right to left. This will take a bit of practice, but should really help reduce your slice.

Volunteer Day - Round 2
We're holding our second volunteer day this Friday, with the objective of clearing twigs and small tree fall from the fairways. With so many trees around the golf course, when we get strong winds, this always results in small twigs falling from the trees.
If these are not cleared away, then this can cause damage to the green keeping equipment and can mean that the quality of cut is not as good as it should be.
With the new season getting under way this weekend, we're keen to get the course ship shape as soon as possible for all our users.
New Signage
We've been working closely with Live Active Leisure in developing some new entrance signage for Bells Sports Centre and the Golf Course.
The golf course has not had any real signage as such to help welcome and direct people to the course. With this new signage there will be a much more friendly welcome for all the golfers visiting North Inch.
The new signage should be ready and installed over the next 2-3 weeks
