5 Reasons why you should come to Noah's Ark Golf Centre for your new golf clubs
1. Custom fittings are carried out by experienced and qualified golf professionals
2. We have a huge range of fitting heads and shafts available
3. We use the latest FlightScope Radar launch monitor technology
4. Fittings are based on actual ball flight, not indoor simulation
5. We're a nice bunch of guys, no hard sell!
Custom fittings are not all the same. Hitting balls into a net watched by an inexperienced shop assistant will not bring you the desired result. Similarly, filling out an online fitting form will not result in an accurate fitting. Static measurements do not take into account swing style and ball flight.
We like to see Noah's Ark Golf Centre as a community business, a place where golfers come to chat about golf and improve their game. Yes, we want to sell you golf clubs, but we only want to sell you clubs that are correctly suited to your game. We still see most of our clients on a regular basis when they come to use the driving range or have lessons with one of our pro's, so we are invested in your improvement.

New Callaway Demo Clubs arrived this week
We've just received the new Callaway XR Hot demo clubs into store. We've got demo's in the XR Hot Driver, fairway, hybrid and both the standard and pro model irons. These are fantastic clubs and are going to be really popular this season.
We've organised a Callaway Fitting night on Tuesday, 10 March, 3-7pm. You can book a free 30 minute fitting session on the night by calling 01738 440678.
Give someone the Gift of Golf!
The first week of our 'Golf Club Amnesty' has been amazing! We've been overwhelmed with the generosity of the golfers of Perthshire willing to help new people enjoy the game by donating their un-used clubs. We've also had some great press surrounding the project and have made it into the following publications.
- Perthshire Advertiser
- The Courier
- Daily Record
- The Scotsman
- The Sunday Post
- Scottish Golf Union
- Evening Telegraph
- Falkirk Herald
Along with the above, we have also been featured in dozens of different blogs and syndicated golf news websites. Below are links to just a couple of the stories.

Dates are now set for the first 3 of this years fitting days. We've got PING, Callaway and Titleist in the diary and are just waiting on final confirmation from TaylorMade.
PING - Fully Booked
We're hosting a PING fitting day on Tuesday, 3rd March between 3 and 7pm. You'll be able to get fitted for the very latest PING G30 clubs, which have proven a great hit since their launch in September. If you'd like to book your free 30 minute fitting appointment at our PING event, then please call the golf centre on 01738 440678.
Callaway
We're hosting one of the first launch days for the eagerly anticipated Callaway XR range. When we tried the XR clubs back in December, we were all really impressed, these things are both easy to hit and are seriously long. Our Callaway fitting event will be between 3-7pm on Tuesday, 10 March. You can book your free 30 minute fitting appointment by calling the golf centre on 01738 440678. Places are limited, so don't hesitate to give us a call.
Titleist
I've also just secured a Titleist 'Trial' day on Tuesday, 14 April. This event won't require any booking; you can simply roll up and give the clubs a try. The new range of Titleist clubs are their most forgiving ever and the guys at Titleist are really keen to get the clubs into that hands of players who may not have normally tried them.
I'll give you more details on the event nearer the time.
Get Your Game in Shape for the New Season
Pre Season Classes
Our popular Pre-season night classes are going to start on Wednesday, 25th February. We're offering classes for both the beginner golfer and for the existing player, who'd like to improve their game. The classes last for 1 hour and will run for a 6 week period, taking you up to the start of the new golf season.
The classes offer great value for money at just £65 per person and this includes all your range balls and the use of any golf clubs if required. We keep our classes to a maximum of 8 golfers to 1 Coach, and this means that you will get plenty of coach time in order to work on your game.
Places are limited, so if you'd like to book yourself in, then please just give us a call on 01738 440678 or click here.
Gent's Coaching Class
If you're free on a Tuesday morning, then our Gent's class is a great way to work on your game. Held every Tuesday morning 10.30-11.30am, you'll get some coaching from Andrew, 100 range balls and a coffee after, all for just £8.
This is a great value way to improve your game and if you'd like more information then give us a call on 01738 440678.
Ladies' Coaching
Our Thursday morning ladies class is having a schedule change and will be moving to a Monday afternoon 1.30pm - 2.30pm starting Monday, 2nd March. We're starting to take names, so there are any ladies out there who'd like to work on their game, then give us a call on 01738 440678.
Driving Range
For the month of February, we're offering all new driving range members their first month free, which is a saving of £19.99. If you'd like to play your best in 2015 and start working on your game, then come and speak to one of our team at Noah's Ark.
Volunteer Day - Friday, 27 February
We've got the first of our volunteer days organised for Friday, 27 February. The plan is to clear up leaves, twigs and debris that has been left behind by the flood water. We have a morning session from 9.30-12.30 and an afternoon session from 1-4pm.
We're going to reward our volunteers with some free golf. For every 3 hours volunteering you do, you'll get a free round of golf. This round can be used by yourself or gifted to a friend to let them enjoy a game at the North Inch.
If you're able to help out on the day, please email me nmcgill@pkc.gov.uk and let me know if you can make the morning or afternoon. You don't have to be a member, everyone is welcome!

Pre Season Wedge Play
Today I'm going to show you a practice session to help you with your wedge distance and trajectory control. This practice plan is based on hitting a basket of 50 golf balls.
Firstly take a few minutes to warm up, stretching and making practice swings, then choose one of you wedges and follow the plan below.
- 4 balls - making a relatively full swing and aiming at a distant target to complete your warm up and get a feel for the ball.
- 16 balls - Pick 4 different targets between 20 & 100 yards and hit 4 balls to each starting with the shortest distance.
- 15 balls - Using the same 4 targets, randomly change target after each shot.
- 9 balls - Play 3 low flight pitches, 3 standard pitches & 3 lob shots
- 6 balls - To finish, randomly change after each ball between your 4 targets.
To get the most from your practice sessions, it is essential that they are properly structured, and that every single ball is accounted for and given 100% concentration.
