Golf on Tour

Westwood and Fitzpatrick taste glory

The season-ending DP World Tour Championship lived up to expectations over the weekend, delivering an incredible tournament with the European Tour’s best golfers battling it out until the final hole. In the end, it was Matthew Fitzpatrick

who won the event and took home a cool $3 million for a second time, paring his final hole after a nervy bogey at the 17th to win by one.

But it wasn’t just a one-off event. The Dubai-based finale also saw the Race to Dubai – the tour’s order of merit - come to a close. For much of the week, it looked as though Patrick Reed would secure the title and be the first American to do so.

However, after Fitzpatrick’s blistering start on Sunday, he was in pole position. Yet, come to the 72nd hole, it was a certain Mr Lee Westwood who went on to celebrate his third order of merit title at the age of 47.

A fantastic achievement. Maybe his Ryder Cup career isn’t over just yet?

On the Range

New Balls

We have topped up our system with 4,000 new Srixon Range balls this week, making sure that we have plenty amunition for you to hit.

We will be fully swapping out our ball stcoks in March with 24,000 new Srixon's.

Hand Picking

The incessant rain has meant that much of our driving range is having to be hand picked of golf balls.

It really is soft under foot and where we would normally be fairly quiet in the range just now, due to Covid restrictions we have remained very busy. Too much driving over the range makes things worse, so it's manual work time!

Muddy balls

Just incase you wondered what the golf balls look like once tehy have been collected in the winter, ther you go!

These ones are not actually that bad, at times there is more mud in the crate than balls.
