What a storm that was on Tuesday night! I have never seen anything like that before, it was just increadible. Ten or twelve hours of solid thunder, lightning and torrential rain! This has caused some severe flooding in certain areas of Perthshire and resulted in many road closures and even school closures, on what was to be the first day back after almost 5 months! On a golfing side, the storm showed how certain courses get affected more than others. Much of the North Inch Golf Course has turned into a lake where at Pitlochry Golf Course you would not have known that it was raining last night. Thankfully, we have done lots of drainage works at North Inch over the past few years and this will really help the water to disperse. Fingers crossed thatwe will be able to get the golf course open again in the next couple of days. This weeks newsletter includes details on a couple of clothing deals in store, along with information on the newly launched August season ticket at North Inch and the announcement that Pitlochry's Highland Open Tournamnet will be getting played, starting 13th September. We hope you enjoyed the first Major of 2020. What an event! |
