North Inch Golf Course Update
There have been many high tides of late, so the golf course has been down to 9 holes. The course however is looking really good, so if you fancy a game, it's only £5 which offers great value.
Our New website is under construction and should be up and running early February, which is also when we'll start holding training sessions for our online booking system. We're also working on a new scorecard design, which will be in place for the start of the new season on April. This new scorecard will replace the current larger green and smaller blue scorecards.
We've got some really exciting initiatives which I'll be announcing at the end of this month, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
Last Chance to take our Survey
You've only got till Friday 16th January to take our User Experience Survey. A big thank you to all who have completed the survey and if you haven't had a chance so far, then please click here
Our mission is to make North Inch Golf Course the friendliest, most welcoming, affordable and accessible golf course in Perth & Kinross, for the people of Perth & Kinross.

Weight Distribution
This week we're going to look at the address position from side on and discuss the correct weight distribution and balance. When in the correct address position, you should find that the majority of your weight should be centred over the middle of your feet with just a little weight on both your heels and toes.
When in this position you will find that you are both well balanced and in an athletic starting position. You should feel as though you are in a strong position from which to start your swing. If you address the ball with too much weight on your heels then you will find that your arms are forced to stretch too much outwards from your body and your spine angle is too upright.
This is a very un-athletic position and one from which it will be difficult to make a balanced golf swing. Conversely, if you address the ball with too much weight on your toes then you will have the feeling of almost toppling forwards. This is also a very un-athletic position and will cause you to swing too steeply.
Try to imagine how a goal keeper's balance would be whilst waiting to save a penalty or a tennis player's balance when waiting to receive serve. We need to create a balanced but dynamic address position.
