Winter Coaching Packages
As November is now upon us, Andrew, Jonny and I are getting started coaching our Winter Students. We have had record numbers of golfers signed up this year, which is great to see so many players wanting to improve their game in preparation for the 2015 season. We'll discuss the aims and goals with each student and work a plan for how we will spend each monthly session.
Niall is now fully booked, but Andrew and Jonny have a few places left, which will be available to book up until 15th November after which time the offer will close.
The Winter Package consists of 5x 1 hour lessons, 1 per month from November through March. The cost with Andrew is £125 or £100 with Jonny.
If you'd like to improve your game over the winter, then give us a call on 01738 440678 or click here to get in touch.
Weekly Group Coaching
We don't just offer 'one to one' private golf lessons at Noah's Ark, we also run weekly group coaching sessions for those who prefer to learn along with others. Our gent's class runs every Tuesday morning from 10.30-11.30am and our Ladies class is on a Thursday 10.30-11.30am.
The classes are run on a roll up basis, but if you'd like to guarantee your place, you can give us a call on 01738 440678. Our group classes cost £8 for 1 hours coaching, 100 range balls and a coffee after.
The Best Value Golf in Perthshire
Two months into my North Inch Golf Course journey and I'm really enjoying the challenge. The North Inch course has such an amazing history that I'm completely motivated to get it back to its former best.
I'm really grateful for all the positive comments and encouragement that I've been receiving relating to my role at the course.
So, what has the North Inch got to offer the golfers of Perthshire?
I'm going to pick out a different selling point for the course to discuss over the next few weeks and am going to start with one of it's most important features …. Value For Money!
Are you fed up of paying £500+ for your annual golf fees? Is your membership costing you more per round than buying a green fee ticket? Do you actually know how much it costs you per round to play? North Inch Golf offers the best value for money golf in Perthshire. With annual fees of under £300 for an adult, under £200 for seniors and just £20 for juniors, you won't find a better deal anywhere in the county.
Example.
An adult playing twice per week during the summer and once per week in the winter, would average just £3.53 per round. A senior playing the same amount would average just £2.12 per round. Incredibly, a junior playing the same amount would average just 26 pence per round.
Flexibility like no other club
I do however understand that not everyone can manage to play this amount of golf. Time constraints through work and family life dictate that this might not be possible. There are a large group of golfers who are leaving private club membership because they are not getting value for money based upon the frequency that they play. Many of these golfers would still like to play a few competitions and have a handicap, but the only way to do this, is to become a full member of the club, so as a result they drop out of membership.
North Inch Golf Course holds the answer for these golfers. In the locally unique way that our golf course is run, a golfer does not have to be a season ticket holder to be a member of a club. We have 5 golf clubs associated to the course
- Perth Artisans
- Perth Merchants
- Railway Club
- Ormands
- Perth Ladies
Annual membership at each of these golf clubs is in the range of £25 - £50. Each of the golf clubs is SGU/SLGA associated, which means that you can hold an official handicap as a member. If you are only able to play 10 or 15 times per year, then you can play the course as a members guest, paying just £10 per round, meaning that you will not be financially penalised for less frequent play.
No other golf club in Perthshire offers you this flexibility of membership, or value for money.

Driving Range Membership
Our driving range membership has been proving very popular since it launched in February of this year. To really improve your game, you'll need to practice and there really is no substitute for hitting balls on the range. Even if you don't plan to take any lessons, you can still put in lots of work on your game for a very affordable price.
Arguably our range membership offers its very best value over the winter month when you're not going to get out onto the course as often. For just £19.99 per month, you can hit up to 100 range balls every day of the week. If you were really keen and hit balls every day of the week, you could hit £186 worth of range balls for your £19.99!

Swing Tip - The Rain Man
Due to the weather when we took these photos, I thought that I would show you a couple of tips for playing in the rain! The first thing to think of is whether it is cold or not. If the temperature is not too cold then take your sweater off before putting on your waterproof jacket, as this will give you more freedom to swing. When you put your jacket on it is important that you make a good few practice swings before hitting your first shot so that you can "acclimatise" to the extra clothing.
Your spare glove should be kept in a polythene bag so that it will not get wet through your golf bag and you could try hanging your towel on the inside of your umbrella or at least put it into your golf bag to help keep it dry.
When swinging you should ease back on power and try to keep your swing as smooth as possible as any jerky movements may cause the club to slip in your hands. You'll likely have to hit an extra club, as you may lose a little distance, so make sure you bear this in mind whilst selecting your club.
