Hello golfers,

As I sit writing this week’s newsletter, I should be full of delight with the new golf season just around the corner. Unfortunately, I am looking out the window and an almost white out with snow blowing horizontally past my window. The ‘Beast from the East’ is well and truly upon us with heavy snow falling all over the UK. Lets just hope that this snow will not last long and that we can get back to our cheery pre-season selves, full of optimism and hope for the year ahead!

Play Better Golf with Andrew McHardy - Elbows not shoulders for perfect putting

Golf is a very individual game made up of many different aspects. There is more than one way to get the golf ball around the course effectively.

If you talk to golfer’s, you will hear people say golf is all about hitting the ball straight. Some will say it is all about hitting the ball far, while others might say it’s all about the short game.
All these aspects have a strong case and may be more important to some people then others depending on their own strengths and weaknesses.

I however, believe Putting is the quickest and most effective way to improve scores directly.

The Perfect Pitch

Weight Distribution: Notice how the body is leaning slight more towards the leading leg. The weight distribution for this shot should be 60-70% in favour of your leading foot (leg closer to the target) this is to help encourage a more descending blow, a steeper angle of attack to help create a better and more controllable strike.

Easter Junior Camp

Our First Junior Camp of 2018 is open for registration!!

The camp will be run by our new Qualified Professional Kevin McNiven who has organised and run camps at the Gleneagles hotel and in the Emirates golf club in Dubai. The camps will consist of games and activities designed to help develop Fundamental Movement Skills to help them learn skills specific to golf faster.
The camp will run over two days Tuesday 10th April & Wednesday the 3rd of April from 10am - 1pm
Ages for this are between 6 – 14years
Those who are taking part will need to take a lunch, bottle of water and clothes & footwear appropriate for bad weather.

Family friendly golf at North Inch

We are excited to announce some great changes that we have made to both our season ticket prices and green fees to attract even more young people and families to North Inch Golf Course.

Free junior Green Fees

We want to encourage as many children as possible to play golf and enjoy the sport that we all love. As such, for every full adult or senior green fee, we will offer a FREE junior green fee.

Free Junior Season Tickets

In a similar vein to our green fee offer, we will now give one FREE junior season ticket for every adult or senior season ticket that is bought. The free junior ticket must fit one of the following criteria;

- Family member
- Friend of the family

Transitional Season Tickets

Three years ago, we introduced a ‘Young Adult’ category of membership and although this has been popular, we believed that there was still quite a jump to move from a junior directly into Young Adult. We have now added 2 new categories which will ease the transition into full adult membership.

Junior (17& under) - £20
Youth (18-21yrs) - £75
Intermediate (22-25yrs) - £125
Young Adult (26-29yrs) - £199
Full Adult (30+) - £299
