Mini Golf Open Championship
With the Open Championship just around the corner, we thought we'd like to give you the opportunity to become an Open Champion yourself!
We are holding our first ever 'Mini Golf' Open Championship over the same 4 days as the world's best golfers will be playing round Royal Birkdale. Instead of playing at Royal Birkdale however, you will be playing at Royal…… Noah's Ark Mini Golf Putting!
Our Mini golf course tests your putting skills around the 18-hole layout, with lots of slopes, borrows and obstructions to trick you up on the way around.
How will the competition work?
1. From Thursday, 20 till Sunday, 23 July, you can enter as many times as you like by playing an 18-hole round of Mini Golf. The cost to play 18 holes is £3.70 for adults and £3.20 for juniors.
2. You must have another person with you to mark your scorecard and we please ask that no cheating takes place!!
3. Your lowest score over the 4 days will go towards the Championship.
4. There will be prizes for the following, 1st, 2nd and 3rd - Men 1st, 2nd and 3rd - Ladies 1st, 2nd and 3rd - Juniors 12 and under.
5. Once you have finished your round, your score card must be signed by both the player and the marker and should be handed into the golf centre reception.
6. A leader board of scores will be kept up to date over the 4 days of competition.
Good luck!!
Titleist Wedges
We are holding a Titleist wedge fitting day on Monday, 24 July from 2-6pm. This is a great opportunity to be fitted up for the perfect wedge for your game. You will look at lofts, bounce degree and head grind, making sure that your new wedge will really help sharpen up your short game.
We are offering FREE of charge 30 minute fitting sessions for this event and you can book your session by calling 01738 44067 or email info@noahsarkgolf.com
20th Birthday Competition
To mark our 20th birthday at the end of this month, we are holding our biggest ever competition over on our Facebook page. You can win yourself a brand new custom fitted Callaway Epic driver worth £429!!
The lucky winner will have the opportunity to go down to Callaway's National fitting centre at St Andrews and be professionally custom fitted into the perfect head and shaft combination.
This really is something not to be missed and you can enter by heading over to our Facebook page, by clicking here.
Hand Position at Address
I know that I keep harping on about it, but good fundamentals are essential to hitting good golf shots. Today we will look at the correct positioning of the hands at the address position.
Contrary to popular belief, your hand position relative to your body at address does not change with any FULL shots. What does change is your hand position relative to the ball, but this is due to the position of the ball in your stance varying as opposed to your hands.
Your hands should always be in line with the inside of your left leg. When you are hitting a pitch shot with the ball central in the stance, your hands will be ahead of the ball.
When you hit a mid-iron with your ball slightly forward of centre, your hands will be just slightly ahead of the ball, but not as much as with the wedge.
When you hit a driver and the ball is now opposite your left foot you will find that your hands are either above the ball or even slightly behind the ball.
You can see that in every picture my hands have remained in the same position relative to my body, it just the position of the ball that has changed. Get in front of a mirror and give this some practice.
If you are interested in taking some coaching to help improve your game, then don't hesitate, give us a call today on 01738 440678.
