It's US Open time and what a tough looking course Erin Hills appear to be. I don't think we'll be seeing any record low scores this week as the rough looks absolutely brutal and there have been several players taking video footage of just how tough it is.
Kevin Na has probably been the most critical of the fescue rough and you can watch his instagram video here.
Lee Westwood and his caddie Billy Foster made a more light hearted video about the depth of the rough. You can watch Lee and Billy's instagram video here.
The Golf Channels 'Morning Drive', summed it all up with opposing views from players and presenters. Whatever your thoughts are on the rough, it's going to be another great week and I for one am looking forwards to it.

We are looking forward to holding a Cobra fitting day on Monday, 26 June, 2pm-6pm. You can come along and get fitted up for the very latest Cobra gear including the rally popular and innovative One length irons.

Vokey are the world's most popular wedges and on Monday, 24 July, from 2pm-6pm you can have the opportunity to come along and be professionally custom fitted for your perfect wedge.
During a wedge fitting you will be measured to determine the most suited loft, bounce angle and sole grind.
Many players look purely at the degree of bounce, but sole grind can have a much larger influence on the clubs contact with the turf. The same degree of bounce, but with a differencing sole grind will make a wedge perform completely differently.
If you would like to book a
FREE 30 minute wedge fitting session, then please give us a call on 01738 440678 or email
info@noahsarkgolf.com Golf swing myths - Keep your head down!
These are some of the most destructive words of advice you can be given on the golf course.
Although said with good intention, you will only hear these words from your playing partners and never from a professional golf coach.
Trying to keep your head down will cause you to get trapped at impact and make it very difficult to swing through freely, resulting in an incomplete end position.
I like to use the phrase "always watch the ball". This swing thought will help keep your head still on the backswing and as you move towards impact. It is however very important that your head begins to rotate toward target once the ball is struck, as this creates the freedom of movement required to make a complete and full follow through.
I am not advocating any form of lifting your head, but instead am asking you to allow your head to rotate through impact in sync with your body movement, just like the pro's do.
Last Sunday saw the first fundraising event for the North Inch Golfers Group, in the way of a 4 person Texas Scramble competition. This was a great fun day and despite a couple of showers, the weather held for us very well.
There was some seriously low scoring on a golf course that was presented in immaculate condition by
Glenn Campbell and his team.
The day raised an impressive
£500 for the group, whose purpose is to help improve the conditions for all golfers at North Inch. For a full round up of Sundays event and for a rundown of all the scores

This year's Ladies Open is being held on
