I'm just back from a great couple of days at the Foremost Golf conference in Milton Keynes, that well-known golfing mecca!!
We were however based at the fantastic MK Dons stadium, which has a hotel and conference facility incorporated into the stadium building. In fact the hotel rooms actually surround the pitch. I was obviously not on the VIP list, as I had to walk almost to the opposite side of the stadium to get to my hotel room!
Over the 2 days, I attended 10 different seminars on subjects as diverse as advanced custom fitting to customer engagement. I've come back with lots of great ideas, many of which we will be implementing for 2017.
On the special offer front, we are offering you a FREE golf bag when you purchase any Powakaddy lithium golf trolley from now until 31st December. This is a great offer and well worth talking the plunge now if you are thinking of buying yourself some new wheels.
Motocaddy also have a great offer for anyone who owns a Motocaddy or Litepower lithium battery, but that your trolley has passed its sell by date. As long as you have one of the above lithium batteries, then you can buy a Motocaddy S1 frame only for £249 and continue to use your current battery. With the lifespan of lithium batteries so good, this is a great option.
Under Armour
We have just had another delivery of Under Armour clothing in preparation for all the Christmas shopping. Under Armour is a fantastic brand and the quality of the garments is fantastic.
Under Armour is certainly the brand of the moment and is popular across multiple sport including golf and is also worn by Tennis World #1 Andy Murray.
We have a great selection in store, including polo shirts, wind jackets, hoodies, kids polo's, tee shirts and caps.
Please come along for a browse.

Drive the Ball Better - Ball Striking
This one is simple, the most obvious way to hit the ball further is to swing the club faster.
However, this is only the case if the centeredness of strike remains similar. Increasing your clubhead speed through impact and striking the ball slightly low and towards the heel for example will most likely result in a loss of ball speed compared to a slower clubhead speed with a central strike. See pictures below.
Another reason to work on your centeredness of strike is the loft variance from top to bottom of a driver. The loft on a modern driver can change by as much as 6-7 degrees between balls struck low on the face compared to high strikes.
An easy way to work on your ball striking is to get your hands on some impact tape. A good drill to improve your feel for ball striking is to hit a drive and try to guess where the ball came off the face before you have a look at the impact tape.
This will help you gain an understanding of how it feels for each off-centre strike and allow you to work on moving the strike marks closer to the middle of the clubface. If you can gain consistency with your ball striking and add a few MPH to your clubhead speed, you will see a noticeable difference in your driving distance.
Hopefully these tips can help you get the most out of your drives.
