Junior Summer Camp
As the summer holiday's close in, you may be looking for activities to keep the kids busy during their 6 week break.
Our Summer golf camps could be the perfect option.
Golf is almost unique in the way that it can be played by the whole family together, regardless of age or ability making it the perfect all round sport. Getting your children/grand children into golf will be one of the best things you ever do.
We are running 3 weeks of camps where you'll learn all about golf in a fun and friendly environment. We'll show you how to chip and putt, drive the ball and everything in between.
Dates and times of camps are as follows.
Week 1: Tuesday, 12 to Thursday, 14 July
Week 2: Tuesday, 19 to Thursday, 21 July
Week 3: Tuesday, 2 to Thursday, 4 July
Each camp is 3 days and will run from 1.30pm - 3.30pm each day.
The cost of a 3 day camp is £42 per person and if you would like to book a place then you can call us on 01738 440678 or email info@noahsarkgolf.com

Play Better Golf
The 3 wood Driver
If you are anything like me and can be a little wayward with the driver, then it's important that you have something up your sleeve to help cope when the driver starts misbehaving.
Today I'm going to talk to you about my 'go to' shot that comes into play when my driving goes off. I can't afford to sacrifice too much distance, so this shot is designed to squeeze every last yard out of my 3 wood.
Firstly set your ball on a very low tee and position it further back in your stance, just a few inches left of centre, with your body aimed slightly right of target.
You should now wind your shoulders up, but make sure that you remain very central with your body and do not sway to the right. Your backswing will feel more rounded due to the ball position and right aim.
Now, really drive and rotate your body all the way through to a full finish, committing to the shot. At the end of the swing you should feel as if you could not go an inch further, and your weight should have fully moved to your front foot.
The low tee, further back ball position and right aim will create a more inside out swing path and stronger loft at impact. This combination will help impart draw spin (or at least, much less slice spin) and will lower the ball flight, which will maximise your distance.
Remember however, that this is not a shot to just pop your 3 wood up the fairway, this is all about maximising your distance and accuracy, so commit and hit it hard!
Driving Net Refurbishment
We have almost completed the refurbishment of our driving net located next to the starter's box. We have installed a new surround net and striking curtain and replaced the hitting matt.
Having been out of play for a couple of years, it's great to have this back on play.
Course Update
Glenn Campbell and his team have been working hard on the greens in recent weeks and the evidence of this work is really starting to show with the quality of the putting surfaces. Now that the sward of grass has improved, we are looking to start increasing green speed.
In an effort to do this, we have this week lowered the cut height of the mowers and have verticut the greens, which has really helped speed things up.
