We're stepping up our Online Instruction 

We understand that not everyone has the time or resource to take regular golf lessons, so to help you improve, we are stepping up the production of our You Tube instructional videos. 

We currently have around 25 videos available for you to view and these videos have been viewed almost 700,000 times. Going forward we are going to produce a few series, including 'Faults and Fixes', 'Get into Golf' and 'Game Improvement'. 

For the meantime, our latest video is all about bunker play and it was shot down at North Inch Golf Course's 16th hole on a lovely sunny afternoon, earlier this week.

Upcoming Coaching Classes 

Ladies 'Get into Golf' 

Would you like to learn to play golf! If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you on Sunday 19th June. You will learn the basics of the game in this 2 hour introductory session, with a relaxed and fun theme throughout. 

In this ladies only session, we will show you how to drive the ball from the tee, play your fairway shots and chip and putt around the green. 

All you need to do is bring yourself along and any golf clubs if you have them. If not then don't worry, we have lots of clubs available for you to use. 

The cost of this 2 hour 'Get into Golf' session is just £10 per person and this includes your coaching, all the golf balls that you hit on the range and a coffee at mid-way. 

Monday evening Ladies Class 

We are running a 4 week ladies class, starting Monday 4th July. This class will be from 5pm - 6pm each Monday and the class size will be restricted to a maximum of 8 players, so that you get the maximum value out of the sessions. 

During the 4 weeks, we will work on everything from Driving to chipping and putting and this is a great way to work on you game. 

The cost of the 4 week block is £48 per person.

We have a Titleist trial day organised for Wednesday, 15 June from 2-6pm.  

You can come along and try all the latest gear from Titleist, including the 915 range of woods and the new 716 AP1 and 2's.

There is no need to book for this event, you can just turn up on the night and have a go with all the latest gear from Titleist. 

  

Play Better Golf

Punch your way to success 

With the season now well under way and the courses really drying out following last few week's nice weather, today I'll show you how to play the punch shot, which is a very useful weapon to have in your armoury. 

Punching your iron shots can help you control the ball flight, and this is something that you will see many of the top players do. The punch shot is also very useful in windy conditions as it flights the ball lower and reduces the effect that the wind will have on the ball during flight. 

To play this shot, firstly make your address position with the ball positioned slightly further back in your stance and with your weight slightly favouring your front foot. When you swing back, you must concentrate on trying to keep the centre of your chest over the top of the ball and as a result your weight will not transfer over onto your right foot. 

On your downswing it is imperative that you again stay over the top of the ball and do not lean back as this will cause the ball to climb against the wind and not reach its target. You will find that your follow will be a bit shorter and feel slightly restricted and if you get this feeling then you know you are on the right track.

From 1st June our Pro-Rata mid-season prices are now on sale, making North Inch golf course even better value for money. 

At only 10/12ths of the full year prices, you can play unlimited golf through until 31st March 2017 at a great low cost.


Ladies Open 

Our Newly formatted Ladies Open is being held of Friday 1st July. Our Open will combine the Cameron, Valentine and Senior competitions into one.
