Summer Holiday Golf Camps

The dates are now set for our Junior Summer Golf camps 2016. Our 3 day camps are a great way to get into golf and are all about learning whilst having fun at the same time. 

The first 2 days of each camp will be spent at Noah's Ark Golf Centre, learning how to play all the different shots that you'll need to get out and play on the course. On day 3, we will be doing exactly that and heading out onto the golf course at North Inch and putting into practice all that has been learned!

Tuesday 12th - Thursday 14th July 
Tuesday 26th - Thursday 28th July 
Tuesday 9th - Thursday 11th August

Camps will run from 1.30-3.30pm each day, so that's 6 hours of coaching over the 3 days. The cost of each camp is £42 per person and payment should be made at time of booking to secure your place. You can book a place by calling 01738 440678 or email info@noahsarkgolf.com


Miniature Golf Open 

Entries are coming in daily for our Open competition on Sunday, 12 June. This should be a great fun event for all the family to play in. Play will start at 12 noon and the competition will be over 2 rounds of our putting course (36 holes).

We will have categories for Gent's, Ladies, U-18's and U-12's. Entry fee for the Open will be £5 per person and this will include unlimited practice on Saturday, 11 June and on the morning of the competition, along with your entry.

We have a Titleist trial day organised for Wednesday, 15 June from 2-6pm. 

There is no need to book for this event, you can just turn up on the night and have a go with all the latest gear from Titleist.


 

Callaway X Series

We have just taken delivery of the brand new Callaway X Series clubs and they are looking great. The X Series range offers some great value for money and we believe these are going to be really popular. 

The driver is fully adjustable and comes in at just £169 , fairways will sell for £119 and hybrids £99 . 

We have a demo driver available for you to try, so please pop in and give it a go. 

 

  

Play Better Golf - One Armed Bandit

A wide arc to your golf swing will help increase both power and accuracy. Unfortunately the average golfers swing is far from wide.
 
But not for long!

Today I will show you an exercise that will have you hitting the ball more powerfully with minimal effort.

Firstly put your left arm behind your back and hold the club with your right hand only. Now with a ball placed on a short tee, you should make a full shoulder turn to the top of your backswing. By holding the club solely in your right hand this will allow you to extend the arc of your swing beyond its normal position and let you "feel" where it should be.

You should now swing down and through "collecting" the ball on your way. The word "collecting" is very important as it distances your thoughts and actions from "hitting" at the ball, which in turn should help create a fluid follow through movement.

At first you will find it difficult to make a clean connection with the ball but with a little practice you should start to get the hang of it!


    

Ladies Open

Our Newly formatted Ladies Open is being held of Friday, 1 July. Our Open will combine the Cameron, Valentine and Senior competitions into one. Entries are now open and entry forms can be collected from the starter's box or can be downloaded from our website by clicking here.


Open Day At North Inch

We are holding an Open Day at North Inch Golf Course this Sunday, 29 May. You will have the chance to come and play a range of golf related activities. 

Whether you are an avid golfer or a complete beginner, you can come and enjoy the facilities at North Inch Golf Course. 

From 11.30am until 1.30pm, you can tee off for a round of golf on the main course for just £10. Starting at 1.30pm for an hour, we will be opening our 6-hole short course which is perfect for beginner golfers and families to play. The short course will be available free of charge on the 29th and we have free hire clubs available also on the day. 

If traditional golf is not for you, then from 2.30pm until 5pm our brand new FootGolf course will be open for play. FootGolf will be FREE of charge on Sunday, which makes a great opportunity to come and try this great new sport.
